The National Government-Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) board director has hailed President William Ruto’s gesture of delivering a school bus to Friends Boys High School Lugusi in Malava in honour of the deceased area MP Malulu Injendi as he had promised.
The national board director Naomi Shiyonga speaking at the school during the handing over of the bus, lauded the good gesture the President had displayed just a few days after he attended the burial ceremony of the late MP where he promised to deliver a bus to the MP’s neighbouring school in his honour.
Mama Signal as she is fondly known by her supporters stated that the Kenya Kwanza administration was all out to ensure that all schools are well equipped with necessary facilities to create a conducive learning environment.
“This is a living testimony that our government is committed to deliver on its aspirations and we should stand by it and support its endeavors as there are many good things coming that will soon transform this nation and as you can see already, it is working on unifying Kenyans to speak one language on matters development,” she said.
The director who is in charge of the country constituency development funds, assured the Malava residents that she will ensure all the pending projects the late MP had left are completed through her intervention and the constituency development committee.
“We are aware our late MP was the vice chairman of the parliamentary education committee and he valued education so much and the best we can do is to ensure that all the ongoing education projects are completed. I know he had a strong and working constituency development fund committee that will team with us to see that happen,” she assured.
She called on the local contractors to come up and apply for the contracts and employ local youths from within to do the jobs
The presidential aide Farouk Kibet added his voice by stating that soon the Malava CDF committee will be meeting with Ikolomani MP Bernard Shinali and team to plan and ensure that all the late Mp’s projects are completed as well as plan on how to utilize the funds to the benefit of the constituency.
Farouk who delivered the bus alongside PCS Musalia Mudavadi on behalf of the president also announced plans to build and expand the school to the needed standards.
An aspiring leader who is an engineer based in Sudan Samwel Tsimbwela thanked president Ruto for his noble gesture stating that it was a show of commitment and respect to the fallen MP as well as the locals.
“We are gathered here today to receive the bus the President promised just two days ago and this is a true testimony of how William Ruto is committed to support education programmes and we should support his leadership as Malava people to benefit more from him as he has a soft spot for the Malava people,” Tsimbwela said.
