Confirmed: No exam cheating at Samitsi Girls

Allegations of examination malpractice at Friends School Samitsi Girls are baseless and deliberately sensational, it is now confirmed.

This follows a sensational allegation posted on Social media by a facebook user, whose intensions are yet to be known.

Following the allegation, the Education office and DCI sleuths swung into action and launched immediate investigations at the school and found out that the claim was baseless and deliberately misleading.

Mulembe News, understands that the sleuths stormed the school early on Wednesday morning and found out that none of the allegations were true.

At the same time, Mulembe News has learnt, from an education insider who sought anonymity, that there could be a plot by rivals of the school principal who have sponsored the alarming claim in a bid to have her removed.

“It’s all about unhealthy competition among schools in Kakamega North that is the cause of sponsored sensational social media posts claiming that some schools are involved in malpractices in national exams,” the insider claimed.

While it is yet to be established, what triggered the claims on social media that Friends School Samitsi Girls and St Anthony’s Kakoyi Mixed were involved in the vice, it is worth noting that the two schools have in the recent past recorded sterling performances in national exams beating giant schools like Malava Boys, Malava Girls, Silungai Boys and Shamberere among others.

According to the education official, such may lead to witch-hunt among schools as competition is high.

Education stakeholders aren’t taking the issue lightly and have condemned the social media postings in the strongest terms possible.

Spot checks across schools by this publication noted a picture of a cool examination environment.
