The British High Commissioner to Kenya Neil Wigan has called on Kenyans to apply and benefit from this scholarship, while at the same time assuring that the scholarship does not discriminate on who to apply.
“If you are passionate about driving change, whether locally or globally, if you want to be the best at what you do and you have the imagination to inspire others, then you should choose Chevening.
“I want to see Kenyans from all walks of life and all parts of the country apply for this fantastic opportunity and join the strong network of over 700 Kenyans occupying various top positions across all sectors in Kenya. If you have the ambition to become a future leader, apply today,” he said in a statement.
Since its inception in 1983, over 57,000 professionals have advanced their careers through a Chevening Scholarship and with over 700 Kenyans being beneficiaries.
Chevening Scholarships are awarded to individuals from diverse backgrounds who can demonstrate the commitment and skills needed to become future leaders.
“Applications for Chevening Scholarships to study in the UK are now open until November 5, 2024. Prospective candidates can submit their applications at chevening.org/apply,” the Communications Manager, British High Commission in Nairobi Evans Odero said in a statement.
The scholarship offers full financial support for scholars to pursue any eligible master’s degree in over 150 UK universities, along with access to a wide range of exclusive academic, professional, and cultural experiences, a brief rom the BHC says.
Chevening Scholarships are the UK Government’s global scholarship programme,
funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations.
The scholarships support one-year taught master’s degrees at UK universities for individuals with demonstrable potential to become future leaders, decision-makers, and opinion makers.
