UDA supporters praise Malala ouster from SG’s office
The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party supporters from Malava constituency of Kakamega County have welcomed the party’s decision to appoint Hassan Omar as the interim Secretary General, saying it was timely.
They say that the change has effectively saved the party from an imminent support breakdown.
Led by politician Benjamin Nalwa, they hailed lawyer Joe Khalende for bringing about a conversation that was aimed at restoring sanity in the party’s leadership.
He accused Malala of turning the party into a personal property where he blocked genuine party members from accessing its premises while rewarding cronies with opportunities at the expense of individuals with party interests at heart.
Nalwa, while congratulating Omar, said that he now has hopes that the party will have new ideas and plans that will accommodate all the members across the country and beyond.
He said he was grateful to Khalende for standing firm and that he would soon be vindicated by the party members for his good intentions through his actions.
