Farouk Kibet slams opposition, says they lack agenda

President William Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet has dismissed opposition candidates in the upcoming Malava parliamentary by-election saying they lacked the agenda for electorate in their quest for seat.

Kibet said the opposition brigade led by DAP- K candidate Seth Panyako had resorted to abusive politics instead of telling the electorate what they will do to them if elected to the position.

“They have turned to abusing other political leaders from the area instead of woowing voters to their side. I wonder how this will help them capture the seat,” he said

Kibet said this over the weekend at Musungu Primary School in the constituency, Kakamega County during a fundraiser in aid of Musungu PEFA Church.

Present were area Governor Fernandes Barasa, NG-CDF board member Naomi Shiyonga, Kirinyaga County Commander Nelson Shilunji Dalidi, UDA parliamentary aspirant David Ndakwa, the Church’s leader Elly Mmasi Dalidi and a host of MCA’s.

Kibet while drumming support for Ndakwa for Ndakwa’s election, promised the opposition candidates a bruising battle in the fight for the seat.

He said residents stand to benefit more if they voted for the government sponsored candidate.

Kibet observed the government had good development plans for the area and will only be realized if the voted for Ndakwa.

The Malava parliamentary seat fell vacant following the demise of area Member of Parliament Moses Malulu Injendi in February.

Apart from Panyako, also seeking the seat in the November 27 byelection is DNA’s Joab Manyasi.
