Meet Shivakale Bruce Jason, a boy from Matsakha with big dreams
This is the story of Shivakale Bruce Jason, born in 1985 in Luyeshe village, Matsakha sub-location.
Shivakale, now in his late 30s, has risen from that young boy who trotted to school bear-foot to a man of influence both at home and outside his village.
His ability to mould self to a person of repute is well cemented at Shilongo Primary School where he started his academic journey that would later take him to Friends Malava Boys High School and later Mombasa Aviation Training and College and Mount Kenya University.
Through education, Shivakale came out as a professional expert making stints at KK Security as an Emergency Response officer.
At Catch Security, he took the roles of Operations Manager while at Perk Security, he was the Branch Manager.
With this wealth of experience, Shivakale had a stint at the Naivas Supermarket as Operations Manager in charge of Loss Control.
Today, he is the Co-founder and CEO of Guardian Watch Solutions where he is offering his services besides creating job opportunities for his people of Malava and beyond.
The soft spoken and down-to-earth young leader has a soft spot for uplifting his fellow young people to positions that can make their lives better and has been on the forefront of speaking truth to power.
“I critically understand the needs of our people. Let us not gamble with our constituency by electing leaders who have made it in life thus not caring about common mwananchi,” he notes.
In his quest for a better Malava, he believes that education should be prioritized as well as health services.
According to him, youth and women empowerment coupled with proper and well-maintained infrastructure is what will propel the constituency to the desired level of competitiveness.
As a leader, his vision is to see that resources allocated to Malava Constituency are equitably distributed and SMEs should receive a boost that would eventually empower the locals.
