Relocate to designated market, Lubao traders told

All traders operating along the Kakamega- Webuye road in Lubao, Kakamega County have been directed to relocate to designated market place.

The directive, according to County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Lands, Housing, Urban Areas and Physical Planning Angela Muchai, is aimed at restoring order and enhance traders safety

“Enforcement officers should ensure the relocation of affected traders forth with for order to be restored on the market,” said Muchai.

The CECM said this after conducting an inspection tour of key development projects in Malava Municipality in the county.

Accompanying her was Municipal Manager Joseph Wafula and and Malava Sub-county Administrator Protus Mwirumba.

The tour of the Municipality focused on housing, revenue collection and market infrastructure.

She assessed the status of Malava residential housing project expressing the need to further develop it.

Muchai expressed concern over the Municipality’s revenue levels pointing out of existing gaps in revenue collection.

She called on Municipal Manager and Sub-county Administrator to ensure strengthened revenue systems.
