Edgar Busiega endorsed for Malava MP – VIDEO

The Abasonje subclan of larger Kabras clan has endorsed lawyer and Advocate of the High Court Edgar Busiega as the suitable candidate to replace Malava Member of Parliament Malulu Injendi who died early this year.
In a meeting attended by the elders and officials of the Abasonje family, Busiega was asked to now criss cross the constituency in search of votes to deliver home the position in a by election that is to be held before the end of this year.
The endorsement now closes in on any other individual who may have wanted to vie in the election.
The elders also asked the government to keep the area political affairs by trying to impose any candidate to them, saying the people of Malava have always made decisions by themselves, and this election is no different.
Addressing the press after his endorsement, Busiega called on the government to fast track the process of picking the Independent Electoral boundaries Commission team in order to hold election in areas that lack representation.
He also called on the youth to come out in large numbers and vote any time an election is called so as to stand counted in the decision-making process in the country.
At 37 years, Busiega, who has been making inroads in the area politics even before the death of Injendi, is seen as a front runner.
He is likely to contest on the Eugene Wamalwa led Democratic Action party of Kenya, an outfit that is enjoying huge support in the area.
