Farouk Kibet returns to Malava to lead Empowerment programme

President William Ruto aide Farouk Kibet Akhonya and leaders in the government among them speaker of National assembly Moses Wetang’ula and prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi will over the weekend June 20th 2026 preside over a major fundraiser for women groups in Malava constituency.

Kibet says the fundraiser that is set be held on Saturday 20th June 2025 at Malava primary school grounds will see many community based organisations benefit from cash to run their activities, saying theirs is a developmental tour, not mere politics that comes with no benefits to the electorates.

Kibet, who attended a church function in salvation Army Butali corps in Malava yesterday, said he has a strong belief that the next president in 2032 would be from the Luhya community and asked the community to rally behind Ruto’s reelection in 2027.

Malava constituency is strongly in support of the government under the leadership of area member of Parliament David Ndakwa.

Ndakwa says development can only come when the area fully supports the government of the day and that everyone is struggling either to remain in government or form the government.

Kibet handed kshs. 300,000 to the church for its construction.
